Buford Ladies and their guests are invited to Ladies Retreat 2018

at the UGA Center for Continuing Education & Hotel (Athens, GA)

Friday - Saturday, March 2-3

Event Fees:

Room rates are based on the number of people per room. Price includes one night's stay, Saturday breakfast/lunch, meeting rooms, taxes and gratuity. Saturday only participants have the option of attending with breakfast/lunch or lunch only.

Online Registration will be from January 10th - 24th

Please try and select your roommates prior to registering online or use the "Find A Roommate" option below if you want the committee to suggest/select your roommates. Once you have roommates, each room will designate a person to be the Room Coordinator. When you register individually, your group will all list the same Room Coordinator. If you are coming on Saturday only, just enter your name in this required field.

Note: Individual Checks/Cash should be placed in an envelope at the Welcome Center and placed in the drop box on the wall. Make checks out to Buford church of Christ, memo Ladies Retreat.


Friday Night:

Check-in: 4-6:45pm. Dinner on your own. Everyone arrive by 6:45pm, with the session beginning at 7pm. Session ends at 8:45pm with pajamas party, snacks and board games to follow until 11pm.


Breakfast from 7-8:30am. Session from 8:45am-Noon. Lunch at 12:30pm. Shopping in downtown Athens after lunch.


Racquelle Grant is currently the Executive Director of Georgia Agape, the first female ever appointed to this role. She has over 15 years of experience in the social services field in 4 different states. She began her career working in family and domestic violence shelters outside of Washington, D.C. She has since worked with the State Department of Social Services in Washington, D.C., Virginia, New York, and Georgia. Much of her work in social services has been in foster care with specialized training in the areas of sexual abuse, violent teenage girls, near death fatalities, and gang involvement. Racquelle holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY and a Masters of Social Work from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She is married to her husband, Anthony, and has 2 daughters, Ariel (9) and Alexa (7). She lives in Rex, GA and attends Forest Park Church of Christ. Racquelle enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, shopping, and yoga.
