nicbaptism webThe campaign transitioned today from setup and working out the kinks to high performance. A hundred Bible studies, numerous contacts, nearly 500 patients and 1500+ prescriptions, 30-40 kids through the day at the children's classes and 2 baptisms have been realized thus far. Despite the tough conditions (heat, sleeping on the floor or in tents, primitive bathrooms and showers), the health and disposition of the whole team remains very strong! - Stan Quinn

team1Our first devotional under a beautiful tree here in Nicaragua. Like the friends in the story of the paralytic we will show our future friends the love of God.

Special thanks to Hal Hogan, Julie Bowers, and John Burnette for helping get the team and our gear to the airport.  The flight left a little late but we arrived safely and we were able to visit with many of the team from Buford that worked so hard in Leon this week.  Excited about starting our work tomorrow after traveling to El Jicaral. - Stan Quinn

2014teamElJicaral webA second team of 11 Buford Members head to El Jicaral in Nicaragua today. Twenty members from other congregations across the US will also participate in this campaign. In addition to evangelistic work and a VBS, this team will also be offering a free medical clinic. This experience will be helpful in our evaluation of the possibility of adding a free medical clinic to a future campaign in Leon. The team will return on 7/19.

Updates from the field will be limited. The team will be living in tents with limited electronic use to send information.

Team Members from Buford: Casey Batte, Sherry Bolling, David Lovell, April Peden, Connie Quinn, Elise Quinn, Ian Quinn, Stan Quinn, Amber Sitton, Kim Sitton and Hallie Whitesides.

Please keep this group in your prayers and for souls to be touch in El Jicaral.
