Korean Community Classes

Buford Church of Christ is complying with the growth of the Korean community near the city of Buford. We offer a Korean translation of worship and other important services. We also are offering the Korean community quality classes.

Aim
  • To introduce the Church to the Korean community around us and serve them with truth in love.
Classes
English/Bible Class
  • For adults
  • The aim of this class is to help the Koreans understand the Christian values, on which the American culture is based, and to help them with English so that they may live a better life with the Christians.
  • This class is based on the Contents-Based Teaching/Learning. This class is like a Bible class. While studying the English Bible, the students will learn English and Christian values.

    • Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 AM-12:00 PM

      • Spring: 3rd week of Jan – 2nd week of May
      • Fall: 3rd week of Aug. – Third week of Dec.

      • Korean Friends Days
        • Dinner and play of the Korean students with English speaking members
        • On the 3rd Saturday of March and the 3rd Saturday of Sept. 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM

Art Class
  • For K-4
  • The aim is to let the students learn Korean and the Chrisian values
  • An after school program
    • Thursdays 3:30 – 5:00 PM
    • 30 minute-Snack and then 1-hour class.

      • Fall: 3rd week of Aug. – 3rd week of Dec.

  • Responsibility of the guardian
    • The guardian should stay in the building while the child is in the class.
    • When the guardian leaves the child and leaves the building, a waiver form must be signed.
Youth Korean/Culture Class
  • For 6-12th graders
  • The aim is to help the Korean youths to learn and improve Korean skills, understand the cultural differences between home and society, and learn Christian values on which America is based so that they can soak in American society and be a good Christian.
