ABOUT Gold City CHURCH OF CHRIST
The Gold City Church of Christ at Dahlonega strives for and continues to work towards being a disciple-making congregation. Jody Apple serves as the Evangelist and this congregation ministers to students at the University of North Georgia. The focus with the college group in the congregation has been to provide opportunities for the young adults to remain faithful and grow in their walk with God, help them in reaching out to the lost, and build relationships so they can become a part of the church family. There have been multiple baptisms and ongoing Bible studies and marriages. A continued goal is for the Gold City congregation to become a missionary training ground for students and young adults it encounters. The “UNG Nighthawks 4 Christ: Church of Christ Student Ministry” began through the efforts of several young adult members from Buford that attended the University of North Georgia.
In addition to the college work, the body at Dahlonega strives to reach out and inspire seekers who have physical and spiritual needs, teaching them about the wisdom, love, grace and saving power of God. This is accomplished by using tools and the talents of the preaching staff and members who want to see the Kingdom grow in North GA. Buford church of Christ provides financial support for the preaching of the Gospel in North GA.
