PULPIT MINISTER
Our Pulpit Minister is Kyle Rye. He was baptized into Christ in 1989, has worked in full-time ministry since 2004, and began serving the Buford congregation in September 2016. He grew up in Arkansas, where he attended the Somers Avenue Church of Christ in North Little Rock. His father, grandfather, and father-in-law have all served as elders at that congregation. He and his wife, Sara, were married in 2004, and together, they have been blessed with two daughters.
Kyle graduated from Harding University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Religion and in 2012 with a Master of Ministry degree. He began his career as a Youth Minister, working for the Scenic Hills Church of Christ in Pensacola, FL. After 5 years of working with the youth at the Scenic Hills congregation, he transitioned into the role of Pulpit Minister for them and spent 7 years in that position before moving to Buford.
Kyle is a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator and has served as a Financial Peace University facilitator. He was co-director of Middle School week at Gulf Coast Bible Camp for 9 years, during which time he also served on the camp’s Board of Directors.
Additionally, Kyle has been blessed to speak for congregations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Scotland. He has also spoken at the Atlanta Airport Area Church of Christ Lectureship, Mobile Spiritual Enrichment Workshop, the Tara Bible Lectureship, Polishing the Pulpit, and Digital Bible Study.
