Paul instructs us in Philippians 4:6 to ”not be anxious about anything” and Solomon said in Proverbs 12:25 says, “Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down.” Since Scripture instructs us not to worry and indicates that worry is burdensome we can safely conclude that worry is always baggage. This week, as we conclude our study of baggage, we focus on the baggage of worry in an attempt to not only identify it, but also to check it.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
