The Big Picture

The Big Picture

Typically Revelation is one of the least studied books in all of the Bible on a personal or congregational level. This is because it can seem very confusing and because it can be very controversial. But we need to study Revelation because it is part of God’s inspired Word and it promises a blessing for those who study it (Revelation 1:3). And, in order for us to overcome some of the confusion and controversy surrounding this book, we have to get the big picture.

Sermon Handout

REVELATION 1:1-3

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.
