Men’s Ministry

Men’s Ministry

The purpose of the Men’s Ministry is to help all men commit to Christ’s authority in the church, home, workplace, and community. You can get involved in this ministry through Bible study, leading, serving, and supporting events.
We invite you to participate in our Men’s Ministry!

Men are invited to join us for Bible Study on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Various men teach and lead the discussion on a book of the Bible or secular book.

  • Group participants are experiencing some of the same issues in life.
  • There is a discussion about different Biblical concepts.
  • Learn and share along with men in a casual setting.
  • Strengthen yourself and others to be leaders and workers in God’s kingdom.

Location: Fellowship Hall. Coordinator: Wayne Johnson

CURRENT STUDY:

“Plain Bible Talk” by Ken Butterworth.  Various men will be leading the lessons and discussion.

Plain Bible Talk is just that: plain Bible talk! True to his convictions and habits, Ken Butterworth serves up truth that is simply simple. How should you perceive the Bible? Is it worth studying? And then, there is the church, purchased with Christ’s blood. Are you dedicated to that church? Are you a star for God? Each lesson challenges the reader’s comprehension with Bible research and thought questions.

See the bulletin for next meeting details or visit our website calendar.

Annually, we host a Men’s Weekend at Buford with a guest speaker from the brotherhood. Topics are selected to encourage personal growth and encourage application of God’s Word. There are many ways to get involved by helping to plan food, fellowship activities, and registration.

SERVICE is a part of every Christian’s life. Men are encouraged to seek opportunities to lead or contribute. This could be through worship services, teaching Bible classes, being on the security team, or as an usher, visiting and meeting the needs of our members. Other organized opportunities can be found through our GO&DO! Ministry.
