Prince of Peace
One of, if not the most popular passage of Scripture begins with the phrase “God so loved the world.” What do we learn about God’s love from John 3:16?
Kindness of Linus
Charlie Brown has a special place in most of our hearts for one reason or another. Multiple generations have grown up watching and reading the adventures he and his gang of friends get themselves into. For those not even a fan of the 50’s era cartoon story and characters, the incredible music of Vince Guaraldi draws them in year after year. For many of us the nostalgic animation brings us back into the world of Charlie Brown around this time…
Prince of Peace
Peace is not the easiest state to achieve. At times we find ourselves caught in stressful and even painful situations that rid us of hope, compassion, or maybe even faith, and the Bible indicates that one reason Jesus came to this earth was to provide peace. In Isaiah 9:6, we read, For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,…
How to Make Peace

Starting on Christmas Eve, many German and British troops fighting in World War I sang Christmas carols to each other across the lines, and at certain points, the Allied soldiers even heard brass bands…
A Quick Checkup
I have been wearing glasses and/or contacts since the third grade. Without corrective lenses, I have trouble seeing anything that isn’t directly in front of me. For those of you who understand prescription strengths, my contact lens prescription is now a -6.5 in my left eye and a -7.25 in my right eye. Yes, it’s bad. Lately, I’ve been using some reading glasses along with my contact lenses because my vision has gotten progressively worse over the past year. Sometimes…
WHY DID MY SAVIOR COME TO EARTH? (PART 4)
Peace is not the easiest state to achieve. At times we find ourselves caught in stressful and even painful situations that rid us of hope, compassion, or maybe even faith, and Isaiah indicates that one final reason Jesus came to this earth was to provide peace. In Isaiah 9:6 we read, For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,…
